Privacy
This personal website uses a small, first-party analytics system to understand which public pages are useful. The information stays in the website’s own database and is available only through the protected dashboard.
What is recorded
- The public page path and page title
- The date and time of the page view
- The referring website’s host name, when provided
- Broad device, browser, and operating-system categories
- Whether the visit appears to be automated
What is not recorded
The analytics system does not save raw IP addresses, full referrer URLs, search terms, query strings, cookies, full browser user-agent strings, form contents, or activity inside protected pages.
Estimated visitors
A one-way cryptographic hash of network and browser information provides an approximate visitor count without retaining the original address. It cannot identify a person in the report. Because networks and browsers change—and several people can share them—the visitor number is an estimate rather than an exact head count.
Choice and retention
Global Privacy Control and browser “Do Not Track” settings are respected. Visitors using those settings, blocking JavaScript, or blocking the tracker are not counted. Analytics records older than 400 days are removed automatically.
